Display Add-ons

The Manage Add-ons window should now be visible, overlaying your browser window. At the top of this window is a drop-down menu labeled Show. The following options are available within this menu.

  • Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer: When selected, all currently installed add-ons are displayed.

  • Add-ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer: Selected by default, this option displays all add-ons (enabled or disabled) that are currently loaded in your browser.

  • Add-ons that run without requiring permission: When selected, all installed add-ons that automatically run without user permission are displayed. These are normally ActiveX Controls such as Shockwave or Windows Media Player.

  • Downloaded ActiveX Controls (32-bit): When selected, ActiveX Controls that have been downloaded by web pages such as Java Plug-ins and Flash Objects are displayed.
