How to Protect Yourself From Internet Explorer's AutoComplete Security Flaw

Please note that this tutorial is for Internet Explorer version 7 for Windows, although most other versions of IE have similar mechanisms to save user names and passwords.

A security flaw has been discovered which potentially compromises your saved user names and passwords within your Internet Explorer browser on certain sites, mainly blogging sites and social sites such as MySpace. Although the threat level here is much higher for Firefox v2.0 users, the potential for danger still exists in IE. Until Microsoft presents a better solution, there are ways you can protect yourself.

First, open Internet Explorer. Choose Tools from your IE menu. When the drop-down menu appears, select Internet Options.
