Definition: Temporary storage space on your hard disk where recently viewed web pages are held. Cache allows you to quickly load a previously visited web page without having to reload the page and its images from the web server on subsequent visits. Settings can be changed to specify the location on the hard disk, the amount of space allocated to it, and the frequency in which pages are stored.
