You can configure when and how you would like these downloads to be removed from the list. Returning to the General tab of the Safari Preferences menu, you will see a section labeled Remove downloaded list items. In this section is a drop-down menu with the following choices:
- Manually: To manually delete an item from the list, simply highlight the item and click the Delete key. To delete all items from the download list at once, click the Clear button located on the bottom of the list window.
- When Safari Quits: With this option selected the download list will be cleared each and every time you exit the Safari application.
- Upon Successful Download: With this option selected items will be deleted from the download list as soon as they have finished downloading.
