The Search engine form should now be displayed. First, click on the button labeled Details > >. You will now see the following entry fields.
- Name (required): The name of the search engine is displayed here. This can be any name that you desire and will be used to reference this search engine in both the Opera Search Box as well as the Search Preferences.
- Keyword (optional): The Opera keyword for the search engine is displayed here. A search engine's keyword is used by Opera to allow users to perform Web searches from within the browser's address bar (the same location that a web site's URL is entered or displayed). For example, if eBay's keyword is set to e then entering the following syntax in the address bar will search the auction site for iPods: e iPods.
- Address (required): The search address for the respective engine is displayed here. It is recommended that only advanced users alter this value.
- Query string (optional): A search can be refined by specifying a query string. For example, Amazon.com allows the use of certain query strings to display its search results in different formats. It is recommended that only advanced users alter this value as well.
