- Delete temporary cookies: A cookie is a text file that is placed on your hard drive when you visit certain web sites. Each cookie is used to tell a web server when you return to its web page. Cookies can be helpful in remembering certain settings that you have on a web site. Temporary cookies are those which are only saved during the current browsing session.
- Delete all cookies: These are the same as temporary cookies with the exception that they are saved on the hard drive even after the current browsing session has been terminated.
- Delete password protected pages and data: Password protected pages and data in this case refers to authentication credentials such as usernames and passwords used for logging in to certain web sites.
- Delete entire cache: Opera uses its cache to store images, pages, and URLs of recently visited web pages. By using the cache, the browser can load these pages must faster on subsequent visits to the site by loading the images, etc. locally from the cache rather than from the web server itself.
- Clear history of visited pages: Browsing history keeps a record of all web sites that you have visited. You can view this history by choosing Tools from the Opera menu and then selecting History.
