About Web Browsers Summary:

"ShowIP is a Firefox extension that displays the IP address of the web page you are currently viewing right in your browser's status bar. In addition, it gives you the ability to query services such as whois and netcraft via IP or Hostname."

Publisher's Description:

"Show the IP address(es) of the current page in the status bar. It also allows querying custom services by IP (right mouse button) and hostname (left mouse button), like whois, netcraft. Additionally you can copy the IP address to the clipboard. This extension was formerly known as ipv6ident."

ShowIP Review:

"ShowIP is a fairly simple extension but can prove to be a very useful one. The IP address of every web page that you visit is prominently displayed in Firefox's status bar without getting in the way. Color coding allows you to display IPv4 and IPv6 differently, and the style of all IPv4 addresses can be configured to your favorite standard. The custom menu queries, with the exception of the ipv6tools that require a monthly subscription fee, come in handy from time to time." Read more...
