Keyboard Shortcuts For Internet Explorer v6 For Windows

Below is a list of keyboard shortcuts that can be used in Internet Explorer version 6 for Windows.

  • F1: Display IE Help

  • TAB: Move forward through items on a web page or the Address box

  • F11: Toggle between full-screen and other views in your browser window.

  • ALT+HOME: Go to your home page.

  • ALT+Right Arrow: Go to the next page.

  • ALT+Left Arrow: Go to the previous page.

  • BACKSPACE: Go to the previous page.

  • CTRL+TAB: Move forward between frames.

  • F6: Move forward between frames.

  • SHIFT+CTRL+TAB: Move backwards between frames.

  • Up Arrow: Scroll toward the beginning of a page or document.

  • Down Arrow: Scroll toward the end of a page or document.

  • HOME: Move to the beginning of a page or document.

  • END: Move to the end of a page or document.

  • CTRL+F: Find on the current page.

  • F5: Refresh the current page.

  • CTRL+R: Refresh the current page.

  • CTRL+F5: Forcefully refreshes the current page, regardless of the time stamp on its Web version or local version.

  • ESC: Stop downloading current page.

  • CTRL+O: Go to new location.

  • CTRL+L: Go to new location.

  • CTRL+N: Open a new window.

  • CTRL+W: Close current window.

  • CTRL+S: Save current page.

  • CTRL+P: Print current page or active frame.

  • ENTER: Activate a selected link.

  • CTRL+I: Open the Favorites box.

  • CTRL+H: Open the History box.

  • CTRL+E: Open the Search box.

  • ALT+P: Set printing options.

  • ALT+U: For printing - Change headers and footers, paper type, orientation, and margins for current page.

  • ALT+HOME: Display the first page to be printed.

  • ALT+Right Arrow: Display the next page to be printed.

  • ALT+END: Display the last page to be printed.

  • ALT+MINUS: Zoom out.

  • ALT+PLUS: Zoom in.

  • CTRL+ENTER: Add "www." to the beginning and ".com" to the end of the text that you type in the Address bar.

  • CTRL+D: Add current page to favorites.

  • CTRL+B: Open Organize Favorites dialog.

  • CTRL+C: Copy selected items to Clipboard.

  • CTRL+A: Select all items on current page.

  • ALT+Z: Display a list of zoom percentages.

  • ALT+Down Arrow: Move selected item down in the Favorites list in the Organize Favorites dialog box.

  • ALT+Up Arrow: Move selected item up in the Favorites list in the Organize Favorites dialog box.

  • PAGE UP: Scroll toward the beginning of a document.

  • PAGE DOWN: Scroll toward the end of a document.

  • CTRL+Left Arrow: When in the address bar, move the cursor left to the next logical break (such as a period or slash) in the address.
