MySpace Ignore Bulletins is a Greasemonkey user script which lets you specify which MySpace bulletin entries appear in the My Bulletin Space and Bulletin Board sections of your page. By creating a blacklist or whitelist containing specific Friend IDs, you can suppress bulletin posts from certain MySpace users.
This script requires the Firefox web browser and the Greasemonkey extension.
- You can hide bulletins from friends who use the bulletin board for spam or other annoying posts.
- The added controls are well placed and non-obtrusive in your bulletin space.
- The blacklist/whitelist is easily configurable.
- The names within the list are displayed as links to the respective user's MySpace profile page.
- The instructions in the show/hide box are slightly misaligned in My Bulletin Space.
- MySpace Ignore Bulletins adds an additional set of controls to your MySpace bulletin pages.
- The Configure link displays a list containing friends' bulletins that you wish to either show or hide.
- Clicking Edit gives you the ability to add to or modify these list entries.
- To add a user to the list, simply enter their numeric MySpace Friend ID and click OK.
- This list can serve as either a blacklist (deny bulletins from) or a whitelist (allow bulletins from).
- Selecting Only or O will cause only those bulletins posted by the users in your show/hide list to appear.
- Selecting Hide or H will hide all bulletins posted by the users in your show/hide list.
- Selecting All or A will cause all of your bulletins to be displayed.
- You can prefix each Friend ID in the show/hide list with the name of your choice for tracking purposes.
