When Incognito Mode is activated for a particular Chrome tab or window, a logo of a shady character in an overcoat and hat is displayed in the upper left hand corner of your browser window. While this logo is displayed, all history and temporary Internet files will not be recorded or stored.
It should be noted that newly created Bookmarks as well as downloaded files are always saved, even in Incognito Mode.
