How to Make Google Chrome the Default Web Browser in Windows

Set Chrome as the Default Browser

The Google Chrome Options dialog should now be displayed, overlaying your main browser window. Click on the Basics tab if it is not already selected. At the bottom of the dialog is the Default browser section. In the example above, you can see by the red text that Chrome is not currently my default browser. To change that setting, click on the button labeled Make Google Chrome my default browser.
