Google Chrome gives you the ability to create shortcuts to your favorite websites, placing them on the desktop, start menu, and/or the taskbar. These shortcuts are unique in the fact that they open Web pages in standalone windows without any menus, tabs, or other standard browser components. This window is similar to that of an app found in the Chrome Web Store.

Creating these shortcuts is easy and can be done in just a few quick steps. This tutorial shows you exactly how it's done.

First, open your Chrome browser.

Please note that this feature is only available on the Windows and Linux versions of the browser.
