Individual Download Management

Firefox 3 gives you the ability to perform a number of actions on or with each individual download. The easiest way to access these is to right-click on the download that you are interested in. A context menu will then appear containing several choices. The options available for a particular download depend on its current status (completed, in progress, cancelled, etc.). In the example below, a completed download (ReaConverter.exe) has been selected. The menu shown contains the following options:

  • Open: This option will open the file that has successfully downloaded.

  • Open Containing Folder: This option will use Windows Explorer to open the folder where the downloaded file resides.

  • Go to Download Page: This option will open a new Firefox tab or window to the page where the file was originally downloaded from.

  • Copy Download Link: This will copy a link to the clipboard of the page where the file was originally downloaded from.

  • Remove From List: This will remove the file's entry from the Downloads window.

  • Clear List: This will remove all current entries from the Downloads window.
