How to Delete Your Firefox Account

You don't need an account to use the Firefox web browser, but many users create an account to take advantage of features like Firefox Sync, Firefox Monitor, and Pocket for Firefox. When you delete your Firefox account, data stored in the Firefox browser on your computer still exists, but it no longer syncs to your other devices.

Whether you're leaving Firefox behind or want to start fresh with a new account, it's easy to delete your Firefox account.

  1. Open Firefox and select your account icon from the upper-right corner of the screen.

  2. Next to Delete account, select Delete.

Deleting your Firefox account won't affect your use of other Mozilla products, such as SeaMonkey, Thunderbird, Pocket, AMO, and Screenshots.
