It may be necessary to disable JavaScript for development or security purposes. This tutorial explains how this is done in Firefox 3.5.

Here's How:
- Open your Firefox 3.5 browser.
- Click on the Tools menu, located at the top of your browser window.
- When the drop-down menu appears, click on Options...
- The Options dialog should now be displayed, overlaying your browser window. Click on the Content tab.
- Locate the Enable JavaScript option. If its checkbox is empty, then JavaScript is currently disabled. If it is checked (default setting), simply click on the check to remove it.
- Click on the OK button, located at the bottom of the Options dialog. JavaScript is now disabled in Firefox 3.5.
