Chat Room

You are now in the Yakalike chat room. The welcome message in the chat room will tell you what channel you are currently on. For example, if you are viewing About.com, the chat channel you are on will be "about.com".

At the bottom of the chat window is an edit field with a Say button to the right of it. To send a message to the chat room, type it in this field and click the button.

On the far right hand side of the chat room, you will see a box containing nicknames of all the people currently in this particular chat room, including yourself.

To the left of the name box, you will find a logout link that will completely log you out of the Yakalike chat server. Under this button is another link labeled Popular-Channels. Clicking this link will open a web page listing the most popular Yakalike chat channels at that moment. Clicking on any of those channel names will take you into that chat channel.

Please be aware that when you direct your web browser to another page, Yakalike will leave your current chat channel and take you to the channel of the new page you are on. If you would like to avoid this, check the box on the top of your chat window labeled "Stay on current channel".
