Using Chrome's Tab Audio Indicator

Follow me on:

There you are. Minding your own business and surfing the Web in peace when all of a sudden an unexpected sound comes blaring through your speakers, causing you to leap from your chair and knock over a drink into your keyboard. Ugh!!!

The source of that errant noise turns out to be one of your open browser tabs, whose respective Web page just decided to start playing a video advertisement with a talking dog in it. The problem, however, is that you're the quintessential multitasker with dozens of tabs. So, which bleeping tab is the audio coming from?!?

Beginning with version 32, Google's Chrome browser makes it easy to locate the problem tab quickly and stifle the source of any unwelcome sounds via its new audio indicator.
