By now you've probably heard all about the launch of Microsoft's revamped search, ahem, "decision" engine. A revamp of what used to be Live Search, Bing claims to offer what standard engines such as Google and Yahoo! don't by "removing the element of luck so often required to find what you’re looking for the first time around."
It remains to be seen if Bing can win the public's allegiance. However, if you find that you like Microsoft's latest offering then why not add it to Firefox's Search Bar? This can be done in less than a minute. Visit the official Bing Add-On page, click on the Add to Firefox button, and follow the directions that appear.
There are already a couple of imposter add-ons for Bing out there. Although they may not cause your computer any harm, I recommend only installing the official version that is supported by Microsoft developers.

Cool!
it seems like Microsoft should stick with one name for their search engine functionality so that it has a chance to turn into a recognizable brand
It occurs to me that if Microsoft actually wanted people to add Bing to their local search bar, they’d support OpenSearch by adding a link rel=search to their meta tags.
The irony is that even IE supports OpenSearch, but Bing doesn’t offer it.
Weird.
