Safari Market Share Reaches All-Time High

For the first time since its release back in 2003, Apple Safari has captured more than 8% of the Web browser market. According to a recent report by Net Applications, Safari passed the mark in January and currently holds an 8.29% piece of the virtual pie.
Microsoft's Internet Explorer still holds the crown, claiming just under 70% of the globe's Web surfers. However, 67.55% is the lowest percentage associated with IE in many years. Its decline can be attributed in part to the aforementioned gains by Safari as well as the continued steady growth of Mozilla Firefox, which now boasts a healthy 21.53% of the market.
