Firefox 3.1 to Offer Private Browsing

Saturday October 11, 2008

Firefox 3.1 has seen its release date pushed back several weeks, due largely in part to some new functionality that Mozilla has decided to include in the browser. A private browsing mode (similar to Chrome's Incognito Mode), control and privacy improvements to the "awesome bar", and enhancements to tab behavior are just a small sampling of this new feature set. The first beta version of Firefox 3.1 is expected sometime this coming week, with the public release slated for late this year or early 2009.
