iPhone-style Browsing on Windows Mobile

Mobile application developer Makayama has released a Web browser for Pocket PCs which allows full control using nothing but your fingers. This "glide and flick" approach will sound familiar to users of the iPhone, which lets you manipulate its Safari browser via a stylus-free touch screen. TouchBrowser 1.0 offers a similar experience in the Windows Mobile environment, seemingly giving it an advantage over the pocket version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The browser's main menu contains a back button as well as shortcuts for Google Search and a single column setting called Mobile View. A pop-up menu is also included with TouchBrowser, giving you the ability to manage bookmarks, select and copy page content, and switch to full screen mode. Makayama has posted a YouTube video demonstrating the browser's capabilities. Available for $14.95, TouchBrowser works on Pocket PCs running any version of the Windows Mobile operating system.
