Photoshop Hits the Web

Wednesday April 2, 2008

Adobe has launched Photoshop Express, a browser-based image editing package which offers a bevy of tools including Auto Correct, Crop, Rotate, Exposure, Touchup, and Red Eye Removal. Currently in beta status, the service also provides 2 GB of storage for each member. Best of all, it is free and functions in most popular Web browsers.

About's Photography Guide, Liz Masoner, has written a great review on Adobe's latest innovation. Also, be sure to check out this colorful screen shot tour.

Hhmm…the much hyped about Adobe Photoshop Express could not impress me. There is a tall list of tools that are available in Express for photo editing. Though this avoid the need to install a desktop photo editing software, the application is pretty slow. Probably it is due to the AJAX…I don’t know. The options in terms of making a folder public etc. are limited unlike other rivals. Neways, I prefer sticking to Picasa, my all time fav.
