A Galaxy Far, Far Away

Friday March 14, 2008

Google Sky, the tool which allows you to browse and explore the universe, has made its way to your favorite Web browser. Previously available as an addition to the company's Earth application, the browser-based version of Sky utilizes Google Maps so you can find faraway constellations and planets as well as witness the birth of distant galaxies. The images that you see originate from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, the Digitized Sky Survey, as well as the Hubble Space Telescope.
