Severity Rating Raised on Firefox Leak

Saturday February 2, 2008

Mozilla has raised the severity level to high on a data leakage flaw in its Firefox browser. The vulnerability, which was discovered last week, can affect users of many popular add-ons. Security chief Window Snyder has published a rather extensive list containing the filenames of those that could be exploited.

According to Snyder, Firefox 2.0.0.12 will fix the vulnerability and should be available shortly. In the meantime, protect yourself by installing NoScript.
