Safari Crashes Cause Apple to Re-release Security Update

Monday December 24, 2007

Over the past week Apple has received a ton of complaints from Safari users, claiming that their browsers have been intermittently crashing since applying Security Update 2007-009. Released last Monday, the update caused the browser to crash when visiting certain Web sites. In response Apple re-released the update yesterday, giving it a Version 1.1 tag.

This re-release addresses the issue that caused Safari to unexpectedly quit, and OS X users should apply the update as soon as possible.
