Firefox Updated For Second Time In a Week

Monday December 3, 2007

Last week's release of Firefox 2.0.0.10 contained a flaw which essentially broke the way the browser handled its Canvas element, a mechanism used for dynamically rendering bitmap images on Web pages. This caused compatibility issues with select sites as well as some extensions.

Mozilla sprung into action almost immediately and, less than 7 days later, has already provided a patch addressing the issue. Firefox 2.0.0.11 is now available and should be downloaded as soon as possible.

Meanwhile production of the long-anticipated Firefox 3, currently in beta status, continues to move along. A code freeze for the second beta version is set for tomorrow night, with a goal of shipping it before the Christmas holiday. The public release of Firefox 3 is slated for early 2008.

I use foxfire all the time it works great never had problems with it. I get updates with it but never see what is fix or what was broken
IE on the other hand is a pain. I make simple web pages and always have trouble getting them to work on IE.
