Web Developers -- Introducing the iPhoney Browser

Monday September 10, 2007

With the 1 millionth iPhone being sold over the weekend, it is definitely time for web developers to begin taking the device seriously when it comes to compatibility with their sites. However, not everyone is interested in shelling out several hundred dollars just to see if their pages render correctly on Apple's latest creation. Fear not, a "phoney" (and free) solution is here!

iPhoney provides a Safari-powered browsing environment which lets you view pages in a 320 x 480, or 480 x 320, resolution that mimics the browser display on the iPhone itself. With the ability to zoom, rotate, disable plug-ins, and view source code, iPhoney is the perfect tool for tweaking your web pages so they look great when viewed on the phone.
