Adult Content Browser Contains Malware

Friday March 30, 2007
NetBrowserPro, a web browser used to surf web sites featuring adult content, has been exposed for containing malicious software. Installing the browser places a rootkit on the user's computer which could allow a hacker to silently run processes such as keystroke loggers and packet monitors. Reported by Chris Boyd of FaceTime Communications, NetBrowserPro also attempts to install a media player associated with fake codecs which are known to contain spyware. It is recommended that you stay far away from this browser.
